Decorative designs for architectural applications.
Okay, so most of this does not move in any meaningful way... well, the security grates will open easily from the inside in case of fire... I suppose that could be quite meaningful.

Above is a set of window security grates I created for a home in San Francisco, CA. As you can see this project involved a prodigious amount of forging and bending.

The grates measure 3.5'w x 4.5'h.

A closer view of one of the window grates. The grates are mirror images of each other.

This is a garden railing that I made. It measuress 27 inches high at the top, 6 inches high at the bottom and is 9 feet long.
The railing is installed on a sloping wall. In order to keep the grip height continously at 32 inches, the standard height, the railing had to be made in a wedge shape; thus, the difference in the height at top and bottom.

Above is a detail view of half of one of the large double scrolls in the railing. If you look closely you can see the wide "fish tail" at the end of the scroll. The railing bar is 1 3/4 inches wide and 1/4 of an inch thick. The fish tail is hand forged out of the bar and is 4 inches wide, 3/16 of an inch thick and includes 3 decorative flutes.
